Delivering a future of talent for a global banking leader
A leading global private bank (and long-standing client in Asia and North America) asked us to deliver a consistent pipeline of experienced banking talent for its operations in EMEA. The bank has an ongoing requirement to fill a broad range of front and middle-office roles, from manager to MD level.
Candidates need to be highly experienced to match the expectations of a Tier 1 bank. Many also require specialist capabilities such as language skills or competencies unique to particular areas and regions. Finally, the bank’s dynamic and entrepreneurial ethos means cultural fit is as important as candidate experience.
We began by working with the bank to draw up target competitors, then got to work researching the relevant teams and structures at those banks. Our client’s intricate requirements allowed us to quickly filter our findings to pick out relevant teams and individuals based on skills, location or seniority.
Next we approached prospective candidates to discuss their interest and suitability for relevant roles. Our multi-lingual team, which covers the whole EMEA region, identified a substantial volume of high quality talent, over-achieving on targets agreed with the client throughout the project.
The research phase has proven invaluable to our client, offering them deeper insight into competitor organisations, operations, and product and service offerings.
Our candidate approach and engagement phase enabled the bank to recruit significant numbers across EMEA, in less time, at a significantly reduced cost per hire. Our talent pipelining approach has turned recruitment in the region into a proactive process, with a pool of passive-but-engaged candidates ready to be courted whenever the right opportunity arises.
